General Information

Pomeranian is a toy-sized dog breed known for its energetic and cheerful nature. Originating from Germany and Poland, it takes its name from the Pomerania region. It stands out with its intelligence and confident personality.

Character
Pomeranians are lively, curious, and very attached to their owners. Despite their small size, they are quite brave and self-confident. They may have a tendency to bark loudly, making them good watchdogs.

Physical Characteristics

  • Size: Small (18–30 cm)

  • Weight: 1.5–3 kg

  • Coat: Long, dense, and fluffy coat with a wide variety of colors such as white, black, orange, cream, chocolate, and blue

  • Lifespan: 12–16 years

Exercise Needs
Although small, they are energetic and love to play. Short daily walks and indoor playtime are sufficient.

Care
Due to their long fur, they require regular brushing (several times a week). Their coat is prone to tangling and matting. Eyes and ears should also be checked and cleaned regularly.

Living Environment
Very suitable for apartment living. They can live comfortably in small spaces but dislike being left alone.
